Captain Logistics managing director position

You will be responsible for everyday running of the VTC ranging from:

• Managing VTC and teams
• Organising convoys
• Customer and user engagement
• Marketing
• And much more

Captain logistics will always be part of the wider Captain virtual co brand and is a good place to start your management role.

This is a purely voluntary position with no pay, as a result there is no contractual hours.
A contract will be provided to outline expectations and will be available for discussion at the interview phase.

Role requirements

You must have the following to be elegible for the role:

• Good communication skills (written / verbal)
• Basic understanding of information technology
• Have experience in other communities (not necessarily a VTC but would be desirable)
• Must have image editing software and know how to use it (can be free e.g. GIMP)
• Keen to learn
• Over 18 years old and live in the UK
• Must have Discord account with no restrictions or infringements in the last 6 months
• Must have TruckersMP with no active bans or warnings
• Must have Trucky
• Must be a member of our VTC for all of the above platforms

Desirable traits are:

• managerial skills
• a drive for positive change

All candidates must provide a C.V or portfolio, cover letter or simialr

Job applications close on 26/06/2026 at 20:00 BST (19:00 UTC). We will then shortlist and interview candidates. This will be done on Discord and due to the limited staff will be hosted by Archie Harrison (current director) only and will be recorded
We will then decide a suitable candidate and appoint the interim managing director in place ready for an ideal start date of the 30th July 2026 with some luck 🤞.

During the interim you will be provided training on what we expect currently and help you develop into the role at a steady pace. You will be taught how the VTC is currently run and managed as it is now and will also be provided opportunities to make changes where you see fit. Once you have learnt the role in its entirety and we are happy you are suitable for the role you will be appointed Managing Director of Captain Logistics VTC.
